The ENCOMPAS project, led by the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), will design, develop, and deploy a digital technology system to improve maternal healthcare in the Upper West and North-East regions. Through the integration of Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) and a tailored digital platform, we aim to bridge gaps in early pregnancy detection, prenatal care, and access to specialized services, ensuring timely, accessible, and high-quality healthcare for every pregnant woman, leading to healthier outcomes for mothers and newborns. By providing them with training, tools, and smart technology, our project focus aligns with providing health system support to improve early detection of pregnancy, enhance prenatal care adherence, streamline referral processes, and increase access to specialist care. Through collaboration with local health systems and the use of AI-powered platforms, we strive to improve maternal healthcare, reduce barriers for rural women, and ensure that all women in the target districts receive timely, effective, and coordinated care. ENCOMPAS Project activities are aligned to achieve the following objectives:

1. Ensure early detection and reporting of pregnancy among women in the study districts.

2. Promote adherence to perinatal care recommendations and uptake of perinatal services among women in the study districts.

3. Improve uptake of specialized perinatal care for enhanced maternity care outcomes among women in the study districts.

4. Enhance Knowledge transition and support among stakeholders for a successful project delivery.
